Defending Your Reputation If you are unfortunate enough to have any action taken against you, it is likely to come from one of five sources. At the PDA we call these 'The Big 5'. The Big 5You may encouter problems in the following areas:
Sometimes, in more serious situations, you may face action in more than one of these. There are a large number of situations and scenarios where there can be a conflict between either an employer, the RPSGB or the police and an individual pharmacist or locum. These could be of an ethical/professional nature, a straightforward employment issue or something as serious as a dispensing error for which you feel you are not entirely responsible and would like some independent support. The PDA will offer guidance and, where appropriate, support to assist you (the individual pharmacist) when you endure situations where you are left feeling isolated and exposed.
