Any lobbying that is to be undertaken by the PDA must be based
on sound evidence and up-to-date information. The PDA will have
an active research agenda.
The PDA research policy
Sound research will form the basis of much of the work of the PDA.
There are three aspects of this approach:
-
Examining and collating existing research relevant to the agenda
and making it available to members via the
Advice Centre
-
Commissioning fresh research which, depending on its scope and nature,
will be undertaken in a variety of ways. The management of the research
programme will be undertaken by experienced researchers based in academia.
The results of any commissioned research will be published and will be
used to underpin any PDA policy
-
Surveying the views of PDA members
