PDA Urges all pharmacists to ask their employers for a copy of the complaints procedure.

PDA urges all pharmacists to ask that their employers provide them with the written procedure as soon as possible as one can never predict when a serious complaint or incident could emerge

More often than not, pharmacist employees and locums are the ones who end up having to deal with the first stages of a complaint. This may be due to a dispensing error or some other issue. Despite this, it is surprising that many employers do not provide employees and locums with a written complaints procedure to equip them with the correct procedures at a time when they are most needed – at the very start of a complaint.
