Do you want to become a PDA student representative?

We are recruiting PDA student representatives nationwide with interviews being held during June 2012.

The PDA are for the first time creating a student network of representatives. Each school of pharmacy will have a representative and this is an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to gain knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Pharmacy Law
  • Employment Law
  • Union representation
  • People and organisational leadership

This is a role for someone who would like the chance to be part of an organisation that supports students and pharmacists in their professional lives.

The selction centres will be held regionally and take place in June. Two positions will be available for each School of Pharmacy and the successfu applicants will attend a residential course in Birmingham on the 13th and 14th September. The course will deliver expert delivered training providing the representatives with the the skills they will require in their role.

The role will include:

  • Organise PDA representation at freshers week in the school of pharmacy
  • Facilitate curriculum education - PDA undergraduate riskmanagement programme.
  • Facilitattion of the PDA conferences - Prereg and main conferences
  • Representation for other students in FTP situations
  • Union representation
