Once a year has gone by the PDA Union will qualify for significantly enhanced rights, these will include consultative and negotiating rights with pharmacist employers and the PDA Union will be able to take issues of concern to employees and locums directly to employers in a formal manner. In reality, we fully anticipate that many employers will agree to discuss matters with the PDA far earlier as they will realise that this will be the most pragmatic and realistic way forward.
