CPC North complements the CPC London event; providing a second opportunity in the year for clinical pharmacy professionals to engage in invaluable learning and development.
The PDA will be delivering one session at CPC North this year.
Stopping racism at the front line of pharmacy
Strategy Theatre, Friday 1 November, 11:45 – 12:15
PDA members see the impact of racism at the frontline. In this panel event, members of the PDA BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) Network will discuss key trends in racism in pharmacy in relation to available data such as the NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES). They will then speak about how and why employers need to challenge and address racism wherever it is present and commit to having anti-racist workplaces. Attendees will learn how resources such as the PDA Anti-Racist Pharmacy Toolkit are critical to ensure that racism can be driven out of their working environment.
Confirmed speakers for this session:
- Elsy Gomez Campos – Immediate Past President of the PDA BAME Network
- Nahim Khan – PDA BAME Network co-opted committee member
- Deborah Nyaberi – PDA BAME Network co-opted committee member
