We know that the registration assessment is a crucial part of your pre-registration year. To help our members with their preparation for this important event, the PDA have again, partnered with the BPSA (British Pharmaceutical Students’ Association), to bring you 'Finishing First' - our second pre-reg event of this academic year. This popular, high-quality, two-day conference is delivered by specialist pharmacy training providers; ProPharmace and Alan Nathan.

The PDA

The PDA (Pharmacists' Defence Association) is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to act upon and support the needs of individual pharmacists and, when necessary, defend their reputation.

The BPSA

The British Pharmaceutical Students' Association (BPSA) was founded in 1942 and is the only national body that solely represents pharmacy students and pre-registration trainee pharmacists. As the official student organisation of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the BPSA exists to represent, educate, and entertain their members.

Alan Nathan

Alan Nathan FRPharmS has a background in both community pharmacy, as a locum, employee and proprietor, and in academia as Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice in the Department of Pharmacy, King's College London. Since retiring from that role, Alan has been a freelance writer, consultant and pharmacy pre-registration trainer. He has published several hundred articles in pharmacy and other health profession journals, his main areas of interest being symptom management, non-prescription medicines and pharmacy law, ethics and professionalism. He is also the author of two text books: Fast Track. Managing Symptoms in the Pharmacy and Non-prescription Medicines,
