Management of Rosacea, Acne and Actinic Keratosis in Primary Care

Are you looking to extend your competencies in Dermatology?

Around 10-15% of the primary care workload involves dermatology. More than half the population are affected by common skin conditions and these contribute 10-15% of the workload in primary care; many of these conditions are managed almost entirely within a primary care practice setting. It is therefore key for pharmacists to increase their competencies within this therapy area and continue to be a vital member of the practice team.

In a paper by The King’s Fund, ‘How can dermatology services meet current and future patient needs, while ensuring quality of care is not compromised and access is equitable across the UK?’ it was recommended there was a strong need to extend the role of pharmacists to help bridge the workforce gap and improve services.
It is intended that the series of events across the country will form a MORPh Academy with access and signposting to further dermatology resources.

The agenda has been carefully put together by the MORPh Clinical Team and the day will be chaired by Clinical Lead, Dr Duncan Jenkins.

The local expert speakers will discuss:

  • Rosacea
  • Acne
  • Actinic Keratosis
  • Extending competencies in dermatology
