PDA is seeking a new Software Developer/IT Business Analyst

The PDA is seeking a Software Developer / IT Business Analyst to join its IT team, based at the PDA head office in Birmingham. The successful candidate will translate and transform requirements into high-quality functional design specifications, enabling them to develop, document and implement technical solutions.

Salary: £38k – £42k p/a

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs standard per week)

The successful candidate will be an experienced Full-Stack Software Developer/IT Business Analyst with demonstrable experience in web design, web services, Apache, web security, SEO & LDAP. Must have experience in database programming (MySQL, Oracle SQL, SQL Server).

You will need to be able to work well under pressure, be detailed orientated, meet tight deadlines and have a strong commitment to continuously improving service delivery. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate extensively with business functions, third parties and other stakeholders to capture requirements for business change.
  • Translate and transform requirements into high-quality functional design specifications enabling you to develop, document and implement technical solutions.
  • Design, build, enhance, and improve the company’s websites and web-based applications.
  • Manage MySQL Databases and support Oracle Database management.
  • Support integration of external systems.
  • Support legacy ERP/CRM system.
  • Produce and manage change documentation.
  • Develop and build relationships with the business so that you become a go-to person for process and system queries.
  • Support the business through the resolution of ServiceDesk tickets.
