PDA Union South East England Regional Committee

Meet the PDAU members who serve on the South East Regional Committee:

Mehdi Al-Asadi (Specialist Pharmacist)

“I joined the PDA during my undergraduate studies. I jumped at the opportunity to join the PDA Union back in 2008 as soon as it arose. I became an accredited trade union representative in 2016. I have since accompanied several members to their grievance meetings.”

Nayantara Chotai (Community & Locum Pharmacist, South East)

Chair of the South East Regional Committee

“I work as consultant Pharmacist, supporting independent Pharmacist owners, providing professional support. I also do occasional locum work, to keep my knowledge up-to-date. I have been a member of PDA & Now PDAU since 2010, when I set up my consultancy company.”

Robin Glasspoole (Community & Locum Pharmacist)

“For the last 7 years I have been a full time working locum, running my own business. Since 2014, I have been involved with the PDA Union because I consider the Union is one of the few pharmacy organisations that has the potential to help and support locum pharmacists. “

Alisdair Jones (Hospital Pharmacist, Kent)

“I am a hospital representative for the South East, as well as Treasurer for the PDA Union. I have worked as a locum in community and in academia, so have first-hand experience of many of the challenges that face members across the majority of sectors.

I originally joined the PDAU as a student representative, aiming to ensure students were not taken advantage of. This principle remains true now, and I endeavour to ensure fair representation for our members and the advancement of our profession.”

Karam Sondh

I’m a community pharmacist working for a large body corporate. I was a member of the PDA whilst studying as an undergraduate and have recently joined the PDA union. I feel the union is striving towards making the pharmacy environment better for all those involved and together with your help these implementations can be achieved.
