PDA Union South East England Regional Committee

Meet the PDA Union members who serve on the South East Regional Committee:

Nayantara Chotai (Community & Locum Pharmacist, South East)

Chair of the South East Regional Committee

“I work as consultant Pharmacist, supporting independent Pharmacist owners, providing professional support. I also do occasional locum work, to keep my knowledge up-to-date. I have been a member of PDA & Now PDA Union since 2010, when I set up my consultancy company.”

Alisdair Jones (Hospital Pharmacist, Kent)

“I am a hospital representative for the South East, as well as Treasurer for the PDA Union. I have worked as a locum in community and in academia, so have first-hand experience of many of the challenges that face members across the majority of sectors.

I originally joined the PDA Union as a student representative, aiming to ensure students were not taken advantage of. This principle remains true now, and I endeavour to ensure fair representation for our members and the advancement of our profession.”

Andrew Jukes

South East Region Representative on the National Executive Committee

“Hospital locum pharmacist with experience of many different NHS Trusts. Interested in reducing risk and improving patient safety. Keen to apply the PDA agenda in the workplace to create better, safer working environments”

Gaurav Sood

“Hi All! My name is Gaurav Sood and I am currently a pre-registration pharmacist being trained at the University College London Hospitals Trust. I recently graduated from the University of Hertfordshire and I have been on the southern region PDA committee since July 2018.

As I am quite new to the committee, I still have a lot to learn. However, I hope that my front line insight into hospital pharmacy at the pre-registration level can help implement major change, aiding the consolidation of Pharmacy as a serious professional career. I aim to continue to support the PDA throughout my career, making a positive difference using all the skills and experiences at my disposal.”
