Following the collapse of the previous organiser in late 2025, there was a real risk that Manchester Pride would disappear, something that has been going annually for the last 40+ years. Business owners, residents, and activists from the Gay Village came together to form Manchester Village Pride CIC, who are proud to be organising the 2026 Parade.
This year’s theme – No Place Like Home – is inspired by The Wizard of Oz and celebrates Pride as a return to community, identity, and belonging. It highlights the importance of chosen families, creativity, and self-expression, while recognising that not everyone feels safe or accepted at home. Ultimately, it combines celebration with activism, calling for visibility, equality, and a future where everyone can truly live with dignity and feel at home.
Date: Saturday 29 August 2026
Time: The Parade starts at 12 pm, but the network will meet earlier for coffee and to assemble! There will also be an opportunity for networking after the Parade.
