Boots UK pharmacists receive bonus negotiated by the PDA

Following last year’s successful negotiations between the PDA Union and Boots UK, pharmacists working at Boots have now received a non-consolidated £750 pro rata payment.

PDA evaluates the renewed debate on the self-selection from open displays of Pharmacy (P) medicines in community pharmacies

In 2012, the Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA) and other organisations successfully rejected proposals allowing Pharmacy (P) medicines to be self-selected from open displays in community pharmacies. This victory was crucial in preserving the integrity of the P medicines category, as it prevented them from being sold alongside general sale list (GSL) medicines and non-medicinal items.

The PDA has been advising and assisting members with benefits in the Boots Pension scheme, the closed final salary scheme subject to a buyout by Legal and General.

Financial statement to members – 2024

Under the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (Amended), the PDA Union is required to circulate to all members key financial information along with details of the salary and benefits provided to the General Secretary and any other members of the National Executive Committee.

PDA student members take part in Young Members’ Development Weekend

International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) supports Safer Pharmacies Charter

An award winning student’s contribution to pharmacy

PDA responds to NPA proposals for a “Day of action”
