Following the decision of the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) to allow the PDAUs application for formal recognition to proceed, Boots application for a review has been rejected
Following the decision of the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) to allow the PDAU’s application for formal recognition to proceed, Boots asked the CAC to reconsider its verdict and to suspend the recognition process.
In a letter sent to Boots on 13th February, the Chief Executive of the CAC has rejected both of Boots’ requests and said:
“…the Panel’s position is that it is not prepared to reconsider its decision nor to provide any information or reasoning beyond that contained in the decision itself”
Boots now have to decide whether to seek a judicial review of the decision.
The membership checks will now continue and we urge all Boots pharmacists to pledge their support by visiting the one of the websites below
