LLOYDS PHARMACISTS: Pledge your support for union recognition

Pharmacists at LloydsPharmacy want an independent voice at work and so have asked the PDA Union to apply for legal recognition at the company.

A “recognition agreement” is the mechanism that would mean that through the union’s status as an independent trade union, pharmacists will be able to exercise a collective voice at work.

For example, pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacists will have the right to negotiate for better pay, holiday and hours and other aspects of their employment contract; to be consulted before management make changes such as redundancies or TUPE transfers and they will secure strong representation on Health & Safety matters. This arrangement would be similar to what Boots pharmacists secured in 2019.

How recognition works in other pharmacies

Improved terms and conditions negotiated by PDA Union representatives, such as pay increases, would apply to all those covered by the recognition agreement, whether or not they are a PDA Union member.

A recognition agreement can be achieved on a voluntary basis between the company and the union, or by an order of the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC). To evidence to the CAC that Lloyds pharmacists want recognition and a greater say at work, we invite pharmacists employed at Lloyds to pledge their support for a recognition agreement between the PDA Union and LloydsPharmacy.

If you are a pharmacist employed at Lloyds, please provide your details below. This information will be treated in the strictest confidence and will NEVER be shared with the company.

Please share this web page with any pharmacist you know that who work at Lloyds.
