Paul Moloney is a highly experienced trade union officer, with significant pensions as well as general employment experience. Having first been elected as a union representative for his own union when he was a civil servant, over the last 20 years he has worked for GMB (the general union), Nautilus (the international merchant navy officers’ union) and until joining the PDA was at the Society of Radiographers (health professional’s union).
Paul is also a member of the Central Arbitration Committee, the body that oversees trade union recognition applications, and is a member of the NHS Pension board.
Paul Day, Director at the PDA said; “I’m delighted to be welcoming Paul Moloney to the team. Our professional paths have crossed a number of times over the years and in fact Paul succeeded me as Vice-Chair of the Unions 21 organisation.
With PDA Union’s recognition at Boots already in place and several additional recognition agreements being discussed with other employers, PDA’s trade union activity for pharmacists is increasing and Paul’s appointment is very timely as the PDA supports our members through more collective issues.
Paul will be a great addition to our already strong team.”
