PDA locum members in Scotland are furious after receiving NHS communications saying that the NHS is cancelling their scheduled shifts in the Covid vaccination programme and amending payment arrangements without any prior discussion

Anger and disappointment as government suggest it may be 1% pay rise for NHS employees

PDA Union has today reacted to press reports that the 2021 NHS Pay increase is to be limited to 1% and calls on the Independent Pay Review Body (IPRB) that advises Government on NHS Pay to show its independence and reflect the need to ensure NHS workers are treated with the same dignity and respect on pay that they have shown to their patients throughout the pandemic.

Community Pharmacy NHS Contractual Breach Concerns

Locum and other pharmacists are increasingly asking PDA how to raise concerns about occasions where despite locum pharmacist cover being readily available, community pharmacy contractors are closing pharmacies, potentially in breach of their NHS contractual terms and creating difficulties for patients.

UPDATE: Partial resolution secured for prov-reg pharmacists being blocked from working via NHS Bank
