The PDA’s February student events

We have been invited by schools of pharmacy to attend various student events, so as to inform MPharm students about what a pharmacist's career is like and what the PDA's role is in supporting it.

Mon 30th January 2017 The PDA

The PDA has a long-standing relationship with pharmacy schools around the UK and proactively supports their curriculum as well as the needs of individual MPharm students by offering free membership and all the benefits PDA membership brings with it.

We are always happy to attend various student events, as it gives us the opportunity to talk to students, understand what their needs are in more depth, as well as answer any questions they might have.

Here are the events we will be attending in the near future – please join us if you’re in the area!

MSOP Careers Fair

On February 1st, the PDA was invited to the Medway School of Pharmacy Careers Fair, where we will present our organisation and our work, as well as we will answer the questions students have around the benefits of being a PDA member and what they could expect in their future careers as pharmacists.

UCLan Careers Fair

On February 8th, we will meet students at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston – you’ll be able to ask us questions at our booth, as well as find out more about our work during our presentation, which is scheduled for 14.00.

Portsmouth Pharmacy Careers Fair

On February 13th, the PDA will honour University of Portsmouth’s invitation to take part in the Careers Fair for students. We will wait for you at our stand, happy to discuss our activity and ways we could help you in your career, both as students and as pre-registration graduates and, later on, as pharmacists. Make sure to pop by if you’re in the area!

We will also organise a few seminars on February 13th and 14th for MPharm students at the University of Portsmouth, discussing some case studies which are very useful for students to be aware of.

DeMontfort University Careers Event

On March 1st, we will join all MPharm students in Leicester during the university’s career event, where we will talk about the PDA’s work to support the pharmacy profession, as well as answer questions and tell you about the benefits of being a PDA member at our booth. Meet us there!

Let us know if you’d like us to visit your university – either during your careers fairs or for workshops and seminars.
