The PDA continues to liaise with the Trustee and the Pensions Ombudsman’s office about agreeing a list of issues to be considered by the Pensions Ombudsman as well as the selection of an appropriate lead complainant or complainants. Such a lead complainant or complainants may be able to put forward the arguments that other members would wish to advance. In the meantime, members who haven’t raised an Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) complaint and wish to do so, must raise a Stage 1 IDR complaint with the Trustee as soon as possible.
The PDA understands that the Trustee will continue to consider and respond to ongoing Stage 1 and Stage 2 IDR complaints. However, any new Stage 1 and Stage 2 IDR complaints will be paused pending the outcome of any decision made in relation to any lead complainant or complainants.
So, members who already have a complaint lodged can still expect to hear the outcome from the complaint. Any new complaints will not now be determined by the trustees. All who have submitted complaints, whether determined or held awaiting the Ombudsman decision, will be covered by the decision.
