As the recognised independent trade union representing LloydsPharmacy store pharmacists, the PDA has built a network of trained representatives. Supported by PDA staff, the network are LloydsPharmacy pharmacists standing up for their colleagues. Here is the team.
Dominic Takhar
PDA Regional Representative for West MidlandsÂ
As a pharmacist professional with a deep passion for empowering and supporting others, I have had the pleasure of dedicating many successful years to Lloyds Pharmacy. Throughout my career, I have been blessed with the opportunity to commute between multiple roles, allowing me to acquire extensive knowledge and confidence to support our members at the PDA.
With a strong belief in the value of fair and just working conditions, I am confident that we can work together to achieve this goal for all. I am committed to using my skills and expertise to support members at the PDA and empower them to take control of their careers with confidence and pride.
At the heart of my commitment to both the PDA and Lloyds Pharmacy is a desire to ensure that every individual feels supported. I believe that with the right resources, tools, and guidance, we can all achieve great things and work together to create a brighter, more equitable future.
So to all members at the PDA and colleagues at Lloyds Pharmacy, know that I am here to stand by your side, to fight for your rights, and to ensure that your voices are heard loud and clear. Together, we can achieve great things, and I am excited and honoured to be a part of this incredible journey.
Eddie Njenga
PDA Regional Representative for South East England
I am and have been a long-standing member of the PDA. I have participated as a PDA Regional Representative and was part of the TUPE committee that negotiated employee terms on behalf of Sainsbury’s staff in 2016 when LloydsPharmacy took over.
I am looking forward to undertaking the role of PDA Representative at LloydsPharmacy and feel positive about my abilities to fairly represent my colleagues on behalf of LloydsPharmacy and the PDA.
I am prepared to learn all the legal attributes of this role and will be fully committed to bringing through fairness and integrity for the good of both parties.
Feroz Jussab
PDA Regional Representative for East Midlands
I currently work as a Mental Health Pharmacist Multi-Site Manager covering both North and South Warwickshire. I have spent my entire ten-year career thus far with LloydsPharmacy. I completed my pre-reg in 2011, after a brief stint as a relief manager I went on to manage two community pharmacies over 5 years before embarking on my next career path to mental health pharmacy. I completed my post graduate certificate in psychiatric therapeutics in 2019, with support from LloydsPharmacy and the NHS. I am a massive advocate for great working conditions and empowering personnel. I have extensive HR experience within a corporate organisation and currently the HR lead for my region. Most important of all, I am a pharmacy enthusiast through and through!
Jahn Dad Khan
PDA National Representative for North West England
I have been a pharmacist for 27 years and most of my career in community pharmacy has been with LloydsPharmacy and further still I was a founding member of the PDA. Throughout my professional career I have campaigned for better pharmacist working conditions and for pharmacists to have more fulfilling clinical roles.
My aim in my role as national representative is to emulate the work done by the divisional representatives of Boots especially at a time of great turmoil within LloydsPharmacy by improving the lives of practicing pharmacists and keeping a professional image through collaboration with the LloydsPharmacy senior team to create such an environment for all LloydsPharmacy pharmacists. I see many pharmacists in LloydsPharmacy that are disillusioned and through myself and other reps in LloydsPharmacy for the first time they will have a voice and someone who will champion their cause and more importantly someone who will listen to their concerns and act in their best interests.
Brian Henderson
PDA National Representative for Scotland
I graduated from Strathclyde University in 2001, then completed my pre-reg year with LloydsPharmacy and qualified in 2002. I have worked exclusively in community pharmacy with LloydsPharmacy, mainly in the positions of relief pharmacist and pharmacist manager. I joined the PDA in 2020. I have been in my current role as base pharmacist (prison contract), since 2018. I see the recognition agreement between LloydsPharmacy and the PDA as a genuine opportunity to help improve working conditions for pharmacists in LloydsPharmacy. As a national representative, I hope to play a part in making that happen by supporting colleagues and representing their views.
