In Pharmacist Support’s recent Workforce Wellbeing survey 83% of pharmacists revealed that they’re at risk of burnout. 73% of pharmacists said they’ve considered leaving the profession due to its impact on their mental health. Following these results, Pharmacist Support is now encouraging pharmacy organisations, teams, and individuals to be part of a workforce culture shift.
This year’s ACTNow campaign is running from 16 October to 4 November and is focusing on supporting culture change within the pharmacy profession.
Each week of the campaign will focus on the following categories:
- 16 to 22 October: Breaking the silence. The first week of the campaign is focusing on stories from teams, managers, and individuals across the sector by highlighting how they’ve supported colleagues and one another with their wellbeing.
- 23 to 29 October: Transforming your workplace culture. The second week of the campaign looks at content and themes from Pharmacist Support’s new Embracing a Workplace Wellbeing Culture course for pharmacy managers and leaders.
- 30 October to 4 November: Prioritising yourself. The final week of the ACTNow campaign focuses on mental health and wellbeing support for individuals.
Pharmacists can sign up here to benefit from this year’s ACTNow campaign.
Pharmacist Support is the profession’s independent charity that runs three ACTNow wellbeing campaigns annually, to ensure pharmacists are well supported throughout the year. The three ACTNow wellbeing campaigns are dedicated to students, trainees, and pharmacists.
ACTNow encourages individuals and teams to:
- Allow time for wellbeing
