Shaping pharmacy: PDA Reps and active members development day

Last month the PDA was pleased to host a brand-new event for all PDA Reps, regional committee members, and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Network members. The face-to-face event took place in Birmingham on 27 April and looked into how PDA members can help shape pharmacy.

World AMR Awareness Week

From 18 to 25 November it is World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) and the main theme for this #WAAW is ‘Preventing antimicrobial resistance together’. Therefore, the PDA would like to provide an update on how they are addressing some of the AMR issues within a multidisciplinary framework and how PDA members can get involved in this fight against AMR.

PDA attends the Pharmacy Show 2023

The PDA supports the Pharmacy Show and the annual two-day event is an opportunity for pharmacists to hear other perspectives, connect, and learn. The PDA hosted two sessions at this year’s event on antimicrobial resistance and workplace inclusion. PDA representatives also participated in other sessions.

PDA to campaign for member benefits at the FIP Annual Global Congress

The PDA joined the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in October 2022 and is now preparing to take the interests of UK pharmacists to its first global congress to be held in Brisbane, Australia in September.
