PDA Director, Paul Day presented Pharmacist Support Chief Executive, Danielle Hunt with a cheque for nine months of the donations from PDA members on Sunday 6 October.
Danielle Hunt said “Thank you so much to the PDA and all it’s members for your continued support. This will really make a difference to the charity and the people we help every day.”
Since 2017, the PDA has donated £1 for each member, each year, to Pharmacist Support and when joining PDA or renewing their annual membership, pharmacists also have the option to give an extra amount for the charity. This latest donation is the sum of those contributions over the previous nine months.
Paul Day reiterated why PDA chose Pharmacist Support as their charity partner: “Pharmacist Support is an independent charity working for pharmacists and their families, former pharmacists and pharmacy students to provide help and support in times of need, so they are a natural partner for the PDA.
PDA help our members with many issues, but there are some aspects of support and some occasions where the services of Pharmacist Support are desperately needed by individuals too.”
