The conference will have a focus on the work undertaken by the PDA for its members in addition to a wide variety of stimulating topics including; new technology, public perception of pharmacy, remote supervision and decriminalisation, and ambitious new models of practice.
“This conference offers us the perfect opportunity to explore how to overcome the obstacles faced by the profession and navigate the forces for change, as we seek to re-engineer pharmacy practice”, said Mark Koziol, Chairman of the PDA.
“Whilst healthcare professionals are working very hard, the system doesn’t often allow them to work smart by enabling them to focus more on their unique skills. Much of healthcare, especially primary care is not integrated. We want to instigate change to enable the sector to work smarter and to promote a safe and satisfying practice,” Mark continued.
Dr. Lawrence “LB” Brown, Former President of the American Pharmacists Association will be running an insightful session at the conference that will highlight the best models of practice in the USA. Dr. Brown will also be detailing his work on how to change the public’s perception of pharmacy which he undertook in the USA.
More speakers will be announced over the coming weeks in the run up to the event.
The conference will provide the perfect opportunity to engage and connect with other members, in addition to discovering more information on emerging opportunities as well as practical guidance to help effectively manage risk. The event is free for PDA members and non-members can also attend, with tickets priced at £195 for both days, or £110 for one day.
