97% of pharmacy professionals say they’ll need support from Pharmacist Support, at some point in their lives.
By walking 97 kilometres or 97,000 steps during September and asking your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you, you’ll be helping to ensure no one has to face life’s most difficult challenges alone.
How to set up a fundraising challenge
Taking on a Walk for Wellbeing: 97 for 97 fundraising campaign is quick and simple. Fundraisers just need to visit the Pharmacist Support Walk for Wellbeing page and follow the steps to set up a JustGiving fundraising page.
From there, fundraisers can choose to walk 97km or 97,000 steps during September. They can spread the challenge across the month, fit walks around work, save walks for the weekend, make every step count during their daily routine, walk alone or walk with colleagues, friends or family. However people choose to take part, every step, every mile and every donation will help make a life-changing impact and ensure our charitable support is there whenever it’s needed.
Then it’s a case of getting sponsorship pledges/donations by asking friends, family and colleagues to support the challenge.
Fundraisers can also download a dedicated fundraising pack and register their fundraising challenge on the Walk for Wellbeing: 97 for 97 campaign page to get more fundraising support.
More about Pharmacist Support
Pharmacist Support is an independent charity providing a wide variety of free and confidential support services to those working and studying in pharmacy. We’re proud to be able to support people from such a caring profession and each year we provide thousands of acts of support. PDA’s ongoing work with Pharmacist Support
Each year, the PDA donates £1 per member to Pharmacist Support. Since 2017, the PDA has committed to making this contribution on an ongoing basis to support the work of the charity. These donations now exceed £300k.
As well as supporting the charity financially, the PDA’s partnership with Pharmacist Support has included mental wellbeing workshops for pharmacy students that highlight practical tips on how to manage stress during the exam period, and how pharmacists can manage workplace stress.
