Pillbox Chemists Ltd: Unlawful deduction from an employees’ wages

Pillbox Chemists Ltd made an unlawful deduction from an employees' wages by failing to pay him wages from 1 March 2018 to 13 March 2018. This resulted in the Judge ordering Pillbox Chemists Lt to pay the employee the sum of £478.20 in respect of this unlawful deduction.

Pillbox Chemists Ltd also failed to pay the employee the accrued holiday pay that he was entitled to on the termination of his contract. That failure amounted to an unlawful deduction of wages in respect of the 4.75 days accrued payable holiday pay. Pillbox Chemists Ltd was ordered to pay the employee the sum of £267.19 in respect of this unlawful deduction.
