Scottish Union Learning H&I, a part of the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC), has announced this unique learning opportunity to help ensure that disability issues remain an integral part of collective trade union activity in a constantly changing world.
Reps, members, and officials from all trade unions across Scotland are very welcome to participate and the PDA Ability Network would encourage all its Scottish members to sign up where possible.
To increase its accessibility to those interested, the programme will be held online over Zoom.
The programme is organised by Scottish Union Learning H&I and facilitated by Tripod Training, with the format being:
- Session 1: 7 September – Exploring the history of disability justice and activism.
- Session 2: 14 September – Imagining disability differently (models of disability and narratives about disabled workers).
- Session 3: 21 September – Building disability justice and access in the workplace.
- Session 4: 28 September – Taking action for disability justice and how unions can support disability justice.
