Locum and employed pharmacists should check arrangements for them to receive up to £500 government payment in Scotland and Northern Ireland

Employers, in Northern Ireland and in Scotland, have been asked by their respective governments to provide information about how many eligible pharmacists, including locums, will receive up to £500 as a payment from government for their contribution in 2020 towards tackling the Covid pandemic.

PDA responds to reports that Morrisons will block the Scottish Government’s £500 Covid-19 payment to pharmacists

PDA has called upon the Superintendent Pharmacist at Morrisons Ltd and Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS), to explain why pharmacists in Scotland are reporting that the Yorkshire based multiple will block them from receiving a £500 payment from the Scottish government intended to recognise their contribution during the pandemic.

LGBT+ History Month 2021

In the UK, LGBT+ History Month is celebrated during the month of February in order to coincide with the anniversary of the 2003 repeal of Section 28 in England and Wales, which declared that local authorities were not allowed to ‘intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality.’ Section 28 was abolished earlier in Scotland, in 2000.
