• LloydsPharmacy Healthcare Services members’ meeting on pay negotiations

  PDA members remaining in employment with Lloydspharmacy Healthcare services (LP HCS) were invited to join representatives from the PDA Reps Network in LloydsPharmacy and Paul Flynn, PDA National Officer for Scotland to discuss the preparation and plans for this year’s pay negotiations.  

• Boots Pension Scheme update for members who have submitted a complaint

  The PDA has provided a further update to members as the initial tranche of complaint responses are received from Boots. 

• PDA Reps Network at Boots address member concerns on the Pharmacy First Service

  In recognition of the mounting concerns and queries surrounding the launch of the Pharmacy First Service (PFS) in England, the PDA Reps Network at Boots hosted a member meeting on 29 January. Nearly 200 Boots members attended to seek clarity and guidance on navigating the challenges posed by the rapid introduction of this new service. 

• Lloyds/Sainsbury’s enhanced redundancy claims update

  This is the third update of January 2024 for PDA members regarding the announcement that Diamond DCO Two Ltd, formerly called Lloyds Pharmacy Ltd, is considering voluntary liquidation.

• PDA students continue to campaign for fair funding – now with the support of their MPs!

  The campaign led by PDA Student Reps for fair funding for pharmacy students began last year and has gathered considerable support. Through MPharm students, PDA Student Reps and others sending letters to their MPs, the issue of pharmacy students being left out of the scope of the NHS Learning Support Fund has (LSF) been escalated to the Minister for Health by several MPs.  

• PDA investigates claims about Boots Pension Scheme

  The PDA has written to members in Boots today about the recent changes to the Boots Pension Scheme. 

• PDA updates salary ready reckoner for Boots pharmacists to show FY24 rates

  Following the implementation of the latest negotiated pay review, the PDA has updated its online ready reckoner which helps pharmacists employed at Boots understand where their pay sits within the agreed pay scale. 

• PDA Reps host member engagement meetings for flu vaccinations 2023

  Some members of the PDA Reps Network in Boots recently hosted two member engagement meetings discussing the 2023 flu vaccinations along with an update on the last Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) meeting.
