    This programme is designed to support PDA members revising for the assessment in November 2024. If you are new trainee who is sitting the assessment next year an updated course will be available for you from Spring 2025.

    For trainees and newly qualified pharmacists, being mentored by a senior pharmacist can bring a number of benefits. Mentoring provides members at the start of their careers with extra professional and pastoral support and the opportunity to form strong bonds with colleagues.

  • Developing effective teamwork – Summer School 2024

    Wed 14th August - Sun 29th September 2024

    Knowing how to work effectively as a team member helps individuals behave more confidently. It will also help members deal with tricky situations more effectively, leaving them feeling comfortable with the outcome. The GPhC and PSNI standards both state that for patients to receive effective care, pharmacy professionals must demonstrate effective team working that includes the ability to communicate well and work collaboratively with colleagues. 

  • June 2024 Assessment Revision Programme

    Building and maintaining positive, healthy, and supportive relationships at work makes people happier and healthier. The GPhC, in their guidance on ensuring a safe and effective pharmacy team, and the PSNI principle 4 both acknowledge that good communication builds respect and confidence, which are at the heart of effective working relationships with patients, service users, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. 

  • CV-writing and interview skills 2024

    Mon 22nd January 2024 - Fri 31st January 2025

    This course will help members who are looking for career progression or new opportunities. Members will receive advice on developing their CVs and preparing for interviews so that they can effectively advertise their skills and greatest strengths.
