Guidance on the activities that can take place when there is no pharmacist present in a registered pharmacy
The Parliamentary debate concerning if activities can take place when there is no Responsible Pharmacist on the premises showed parliament had really placed patient safety at the heart of this discussion.

The PDA
The subsequent legislation understood this and the ensuing regulatory guidance issued shortly afterwards clearly codified the process. There has been no change in the law since the 2008 regulations came into force.
