HSE Stress and Wellbeing Survey for PDA members employed at Lloyds, Boots and Well

Over the past year, the PDA has seen an increase in members employed by the major pharmacy multiples seeking advice and support on issues relating to wellbeing and stress at work.

Thu 7th October 2021 The PDA

It has been an incredibly challenging time for pharmacists, and it’s more important than ever that employers consider the wellbeing of employees.

To understand more about the current situation facing members, the PDA has recently emailed members employed by Lloyds, Boots and Well and asked them to undertake a survey which looks at stress and wellbeing in the workplace.

This comprehensive questionnaire covers all possible areas of stress in the workplace. The PDA has utilised questions developed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for this survey. By employing this non-biased approach, including using HSE’s analysis tool to collate the responses, the PDA will be presented with an accurate picture of wellbeing and stress in these workplaces.

The surveys will close on Friday 22 October 2021. All PDA members employed at Lloyds, Boots or Well should have received a link to their survey via email. If you did not receive this, please email clare.hirst@pda-union.org.

It is vital that pharmacists employed by Lloyds, Boots and Well complete this survey. Once they have clear information on members shared experiences, the PDA will be better placed to see where change is needed, and workplace representatives can negotiate with employers to improve working conditions.

ACTNow wellbeing campaign

The PDA proudly supports the #ACTNow wellbeing campaign from Pharmacist Support which focuses on the science behind wellbeing, putting wellbeing into practice and showing how easy it can be to incorporate simple wellbeing activities into your day. It’s not too late to sign up for this campaign which is running until Friday 29 October 2021.
