PDA releases guide to Covid-19 vaccine administration
|
|
The PDA has put together a guide to vaccine administration in light of the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination programme. This guide will serve to help those individuals who have completed the prerequisite training and are giving Covid-19 vaccinations.
This informative guide will cover vaccine administration, a detailed look into the vaccination site as well as the intramuscular process. The guide also tells individuals who are giving Covid-19 vaccinations what needs to be done prior to vaccine administration such as the need to be aware of possible adverse reactions. This guide is following on from the PDA Covid-19 risk management poster and stickers that are already available. |

pregnant employee guide

The PDA has developed a guide to discrimination and the pregnant employee that explains the rights of employees who are pregnant or are on maternity leave.
The guide also looks at examples of pregnancy discrimination and how members can access support and advice from the PDA.
This guide is part of the PDA’s workplace series and follows on from the ‘Discrimination in the workplace’ and ‘Managing your wellbeing in the workplace’ guides.

The EDI survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. The survey deadline is 5 pm on Monday 31 May 2021. |

PDA membership is now even greater value
After several years of discussion with HMRC, the PDA has been approved by the Commissioners for HM Revenue and Customs under Section 344 of the Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003 with effect from 6 April 2018.
PDA members are now allowed to claim tax relief as a deduction from earnings from employment for their PDA subscription, less the amount of £15 each year which is deemed attributable to the PDA Union.
