At a meeting between the two organisations the PDA Chairman, Mark Koziol, presented Pharmacist Support’s Chief Executive, Danielle Hunt, with a cheque for the last three months of donations from PDA members, a total amount of £11,089.54.
Since 2017, the PDA has donated £1 for each member, each year, to Pharmacist Support and when joining PDA or renewing their annual membership, pharmacists also have the option to give an extra amount for the charity.
This latest charity donation, added to the major amount presented at the pharmacy show in October brings the total donations from the PDA over the last 12 months to over £35,000.
Mark Koziol said: “With the PDA’s ongoing commitment to donate £1 for each of our 30,000+ members each year to Pharmacist Support, we’re proud that this arrangement is going to allow the charity to do a great deal more good for pharmacists.”
