The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) are asking for support to help with the climate change emergency by asking workers around the world to take part in the 2022 Global Day of Action. The PDA is joining in this support by encouraging pharmacists to invite their employers to discuss plans for safety, jobs, emissions, and a secure pathway for the future.
Following the devastation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the world requires new levels of care, social protection, and economic stimulus. The world is already seeing the effects of climate change with extreme heatwaves, sea level rises, crop failures, and more. IPCC climate scientists explain that we must act quickly to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees to avoid massive threats.
How to get involved
