The awards are a way to recognise and celebrate the dedication and extraordinary work of pharmacists from diverse disciplines, and the PDA is pleased to have sponsored the Student Leadership category of the awards once again.
Each year, the PDA sponsors the Student Leadership category of the Welsh, Scottish, and Northern Irish Pharmacy Awards to celebrate the successes of future professionals. This year’s winner was Harvey John, who studies at Swansea University.

Returning to the Vale Resort in Glamorgan, the Welsh Pharmacy Awards attracted a guest list of over 300 industry giants, service-providers, and students.
During the evening, 12 winners were announced for various categories. In the closing moments of the ceremony, the 2022 Special Recognition title was awarded to Jenny Pugh-Jones for her extensive contributions to the industry as Head of Medicines Management at Hywel Dda Health Board.
All the winners will be featured in Welsh Pharmacy Review and all images can be viewed here.
The event was also successful in raising funds for this year’s nominated charity, LATCH. LATCH supports the children and their families who are being treated by the Oncology Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Wales.
