
General Insurance![]() PDA members insurance arrangements are organised by the Pharmacy Insurance Agency (PIA), which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Established in 1992, The Pharmacy Insurance Agency is an independent intermediary, and has since that date developed expertise in providing a wide range of insurance products, having excellent relationships with over thirty major insurers allowing them to provide the best value packages for their clients without compromise on quality. Because of its close links with the Pharmacy Insurance Agency (PIA), PDA members have access to general insurance schemes that have been specifically designed for pharmacists. You can take advantage of any of the general insurance schemes available through the PIA. In so doing, 1% of all insurance premiums paid is paid into the PIA Foundation, which subsequently funds the PDA through a grant. The general insurance schemes available through the PIA include:
