request the services of Advisory Board members on an individual
fee paying basis. The PDA Advisory BoardThis is a carefully selected group of individuals renowned in their particular field of expertise. Collectively, this provides you with access to a very wide range of skills which are available to support both the Reactive and Proactive aims of the PDA. All members of the Advisory Board are available to assist PDA with a wide range of services. Some of the board members will have skills directly relevant to the defence of a member, whilst other panel members will have other types of expertise. Reactive and proactive servicesThe PDA needs to provide you with both a reactive and a proactive service. The reactive element involves supporting members in a variety of ways at times when an incident or a problem has occurred. The proactive element involves supporting members in a more forward looking way by helping to facilitate a developmental agenda for individual pharmacist members of PDA. Insured and non-insured servicesIf it becomes necessary for an Advisory Board member to become involved in the defence of a member, then their services will probably be funded automatically through the insurance policy. In such instances, the board members will be instructed directly by PDA. You will also be able to request the services of Advisory Board members on other more proactive, personal project issues and, subject to their availability, such assistance will be provided on a fee paying basis. (As any personal projects will not be covered under the insurance policy). Developmental workThese arrangements are designed to guarantee that the very best expertise available is deployed to defend PDA members when necessary and also that it is available to assist you with any developmental work that you wishing to undertake.
