Employees and locums must ensure employers report COVID-19 infections acquired at work

The PDA is concerned that some employers appear unwilling to comply with their legal duty to report such infections and we are advising all members who believe they are likely to have contracted COVID-19 in the workplace to notify their employer in writing of this, and request a copy of the HSE report.

PDA responds to GPhC’s consultation on the draft 2020 fees rules

The GPhC has been consulting from 7 January 2020 to 31 March 2020 on changing its fees for registered pharmacy premises from 2020 and also its wider long-term fees strategy for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises.

PDA live webinar used to offer support and guidance to pre-reg members

Last week, the PDA hosted their first live webinar for pre-reg members to support them as they cope with the impact that the COVID-19 crisis has had on their year. This comes after the GPhC decided to postpone the pre-registration assessment process and move to a period of provisional registration.

The UK government have reversed their decision to exclude community pharmacists from the coronavirus compensation scheme in England. The PDA has welcomed the u-turn by the Secretary of State Matt Hancock and praised pharmacists for their professional unity

PDA’s campaign to stop violence in pharmacies now has support from the National Police Chiefs’ Council

The PDA's campaign to stop violence in pharmacies has received additional support from the NPCC (National Police Chiefs' Council). The campaign posters, which can be downloaded and placed in pharmacies, now include the NPCC logo.
