The PDA Union was formed by pharmacists, for pharmacists. Our focus has always been on protecting and improving professional autonomy, working conditions and employment terms for pharmacists and we know pharmacists at Lloyds want us to be recognised so that we can improve their working experience.

In a recent communication to pharmacists the company management claimed to be surprised by this action, so the union is reiterating how we reached this point while also giving an update on latest developments.

This is especially important at this time because the company have announced plans to make job losses and changes to employment contracts.

  • Lloyds Pharmacy Ltd: Unfair dismissal

    The claimant sent a claim form to the Tribunal complaining of unfair dismissal. In the response the respondent raised a preliminary issue that the Tribunal had no jurisdiction to hear the claim as it was presented out of time in terms of section 111 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 (the ERA). The case was listed for a preliminary hearing to determine the issue of time bar.
