The PDA is skilled in negotiating and campaigning for positive outcomes for pharmacists as well as providing advice, representation, and support for them to resolve individual issues. The PDA also provides solutions to challenges faced by pharmacists in their working life. This pandemic has been going on for so long already and with the end not yet in sight, the PDA is taking this opportunity to remind members of some of the resources we have created to support them over the last year.
Prove that you are a pharmacist
In the first lockdown, last Spring, many pharmacists struggled to convince schools, supermarkets and others that they are key workers making a critical contribution in the battle against COVID-19. The PDA produced a personalised digital ID card to help our members confirm their status during the COVID-19 crisis. This remains available and some members have already used it again as part of confirming their status when receiving vaccinations.
Access your personalised card here.
Keep your workplace Covid secure
The PDA launched the risk assessment tool back in June 2020. The free resource is designed to enable a systematic approach to both assessing and managing the risks of COVID-19 in the community pharmacy as well as building resilience to prevent pharmacy closures. COVID-19 risk assessments are needed now more than ever to help protect pharmacists, their teams and members of the public that enter the pharmacy.

Ensure your employer has zero tolerance of violence
Violent incidents have been at record levels during this pandemic, however, the longstanding PDA campaign to end violence in pharmacies has progressed significantly too and we continue to highlight this important issue.
