The STUC LGBT+ Workers’ Conference brings together LGBT+ trade unionists to work together to pass progressive resolutions and policies that will improve the lives of LGBT+ workers.
This year, the PDA has amended one of the motions that will be presented to make it more intersectional and further enhance the impact of the motion’s asks. As the motion is about expanding and developing HIV awareness, the PDA believes that pharmacists could provide a unique opportunity from which to further build awareness.
As a delegate at the conference, Xi Ken will be able to do the following:
- Contribute to the debates and discussions
- Submit and speak on motions on behalf of the PDA
- Vote on motions
- Vote in any elections.
This conference is one of five STUC Equality Conferences that take place each year. The conference consists of workshops, panel sessions, guest speakers, and networking opportunities relevant to LGBT+ workers across industries.
Members who are interested in finding out more information or getting involved with the STUC’s conferences and committees should get in touch with PDA National Officer, Paul Flynn at [email protected].
