NAWP encourages pharmacist employers to adopt the Safe Spaces scheme

Today is the beginning of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, an annual campaign that calls for an end to violence against women and girls. Spanning across 16 days, the campaign begins on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. To mark the campaign, the PDA NAWP Network is highlighting Safe Spaces, a scheme that offers people experiencing domestic abuse a safe space to reach out for support.

Addressing racial undertones in the language of pharmacy

Community pharmacist, Chair of the PDA’s Southeast Regional Committee, and co-opted member of the PDA BAME Network, Nav Bhogal addresses the racial undertones in the language used in pharmacy. Nav also provides information on the negative undertones and suggests alternatives in a call for change.
