Attend the PDA’s sessions at Clinical Pharmacy Congress 2023

The Clinical Pharmacy Congress (CPC) returns this year from 12 – 13 May. We will be hosting two sessions at CPC this year; ‘Managing the risk of Antimicrobial Resistance from conflict zones (lessons from the war in Ukraine)’ and ‘Neurodiverse and disabled pharmacists, securing workplace inclusion’.

The two-day conference will again be taking place at ExCeL London from 12 – 13 May. The conference is a great opportunity for clinical pharmacy professionals from across the UK to come together and be inspired and network with peers. This year there will be over 250 speakers and more than 150 exhibitors.

We are a proud member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) and that means that we can seek out the very best ideas from a much larger international network for the benefit of members.

This year, from 24 to 28 September, FIP members from around the globe can get together in Brisbane to set out long-term goals and principles, as well as short-term actions, to transform pharmacy’s role in and contribution to the sustainable future of healthcare.

Have your say on the future of professional leadership for UK pharmacists

The future of professional leadership should matter to all pharmacists and future pharmacists. Significant ideas about changes to the current arrangements have been proposed by the UK’s four government Chief Pharmacists (CPhOs), who have published their Commission’s proposal for how pharmacy leadership may develop in the UK.

We are now asking members their views about the proposals.

Pharmacists highlight poor working conditions faced in NHS hospitals

We are publishing the results of the ‘scoping broader issues for hospital pharmacists’ survey.

Pharmacists practising in hospitals have responded to a PDA survey with a stark picture of how NHS staff are facing immense pressures which, hand in hand with increasing staff shortages, is producing the perfect storm.

Around 77% of respondents to the survey were looking to change their career or employment status in the next 12-18 months.
